WAEC GCE registration form for 2026 is out. The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has announced the commencement of registration for the 2026 WAEC GCE (2nd series). Candidates interested in applying are to check the application cost, deadline and how to purchase the form and register online. See details below;
This is to inform the general public and intending candidates that registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates 2026 – Second series has commenced. Thirty-Six (36) subjects would be available for the examination. Prospective candidates are advised to visit the Council’s Corporate website – www.waecnigeria.org to confirm available examination towns and subjects before obtaining the registration PIN.
All WAEC past questions; objective and theory along with their solutions are now available. As WAEC will be conducted via CBT, candidates are encouraged to download and activate the WAEC package of the First Class Learners CBT App or Software to enable them adequately prepare for the exam.

WASSCE For Private Candidate 2026, SECOND SERIES Normal Registration is on-going. Closing date for Generation of PIN is Friday, July 31, 2026. Intending candidates are advised to complete their Biometrics capturing and Online registration by 11:59pm on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026.
Registration for WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026-Second Series will be online. After the Registration PIN, candidates should log on to www.waeconline.org.ng for registration. Candidates should also note that the registration procedure has been designed to accommodate biometric features that will be used for validation at the examination centres.
Candidates are expected to pay a registration fee of Twenty Seven Thousand Naira (N27,000) only, at branches of any of the following banks or any accredited agent and obtain the Registration PIN and Information VCD:
In addition, candidates will be required to pay Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) commission to the banks/accredited agents. After obtaining the Registration PIN, candidates should log on to https://registration.waecdirect.org/ for registration.
Candidates can also explore any of the following cashless payment channels included in the new advert to procure registration token with credit/debit card.
WALK-IN CANDIDATES: Candidates who wish to register for the examination after the close of entries may be accommodated as “Walk-in-Candidates” provided they register not less than twenty-four hours to the scheduled time of the paper (s) they intend to write. The “Walk-in-Candidates” fee is Forty-Five Thousand Naira (N45,000.00) only.
CANDIDATES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: Candidates with special needs will also register online like other candidates but they must dearly state their disabilities e.g blind, low vision, spastic, speech, etc.
WHERE TO REGISTER: Candidates can visit accredited banks, Cyber Cafes, WAEC offices and “WAEC REGISTRATION POINTS” nearest to them for PIN purchase and registration
COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION: Candidates MUST conclude registration within two weeks of first access to the website during the registration period. They should ensure that their names, gender, passport photographs, dates of birth and subjects are correct. They are also to print the Admission Notice/Photo Card as evidence of successful registration which will serve as identification during the examination. The Result Checker PIN will also be on the Photo Card. Only Digital Personal Scanner should be used for fingerprint registration.
